Earthquakes and Hurricanes

What in the world do you think is going on?  Is it prophetic or just a coincidence.  I just think we need to be ready and stop taking the time that God gives us for granted.  Welcome to the new MMMBC Blog-tell us what you’re thinking!

I am so glad that our God is in charge and in control of the affairs of men. God uses anything and everything to gain the attention of his children that we will continue to remain faithful and consistent in our walk for Him. We as the body of Christ are called out of darkness into the marvelous light. We must remember that our lives are no longer our own. We must continue to work at fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives as we live to serve Him. God uses anything and everything to gain the attention of his creation to see and know that with their limited intellect and feeble strength they are not in charge. We serve an awesome God and we must strive to live for him. We must encourage others to get to know Him. Please allow the Lord to be first in our lives so that others will see Him and not us. Be encouraged! Golden 

Spiritual Maturity can be defined as life lessons learned by difficult situations successfully adjusted unto. I thank God for being there with us through the times, test, and trials that come to try us. I thank God for allowing us to overcome, develope, and mature through the hurts, setups, setbacks, hurdles, and obstacles that allow us to become all that God is making us to be! I am excited for us all and I know God has so much more for each us and we need to support and encourage each other as we continue to fulfill the Lord's purpose for our lives. Be blessed. Golden :)

READ: Ephesians 4:1-16

Till we all come to the unity of the faith and . . . to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. —Ephesians 4:13

When a high school student tried using a thermometer to measure a table, his teacher was dumbfounded. In 15 years of teaching, Dave had seen many sad and shocking situations. But even he was amazed that a student could make it to high school without knowing the difference between a ruler and a thermometer.

When a friend told me this story, my heart broke for that student and others like him who have fallen so far behind in their education. They can’t move forward because they haven’t yet learned basic lessons of everyday life.

But then a sobering thought came to me: Don’t we sometimes do the same thing when we use wrong spiritual measuring devices? For example, do we assume that churches with the most resources are the most blessed by God? And do we ever think that popular preachers are more godly than those with few followers?

The proper measure of our spiritual condition is the quality of our lives, which is measured by such attributes as lowliness, gentleness, and longsuffering (Eph. 4:2). “Bearing with one another in love” (v.2) is a good indication that we are moving toward God’s goal for us: “the measure of . . . the fullness of Christ” (v.13). —Julie Ackerman Link

Our spiritual maturity
Is measured by the quality
Of attributes that others see
Produced in us by Christ. —Sper

Our love for God can be measured by our love for others.
